Today's unveiling of the twelve finalists would have overlapped with the exhibition of the YTAA finalists and shortlisted projects that was organized as a collateral event of the Venice Architecture Biennale. Yet as the Biennale was delayed one year due to the coronavirus pandemic, so will the YTAA 2020 Exhibition, now scheduled to open on May 22, 2021, at the European Cultural Centre - Palazzo Mora in Venice. An award ceremony and debate will take place in Venice in June 2021.

Regardless of the delay, the four winners of YTAA 2020 — the third iteration of the biennial prize created in 2016 to award the best projects by recent graduates of European architecture schools — will be announced in less than two weeks, on October 5, during YTAA 2020 Day, which also coincides with World Architecture Day and World Habitat Day. The winners will be selected by the jury* from the twelve finalists — listed below and on our dedicated YTAA 2020 page — that they initially selected from the 43-strong shortlist announced earlier this month. More than 380 projects from 36 countries were submitted as part of the third YTAA.
