Vernacular Architecture in the Himalayas

Based on a 5-year research project and the resulting publication we are organizing a symposium on Vernacular Architecture in the Himalayas. The focus will be on the rapidly vanishing cultural heritage of vernacular architecture in the Himalayas, the Tibetan Plateau and the adjacent mountain ranges. Speakers include: Prof. Dr. Niels Gutschow, Prof. Dr. Chang Qing, Dr. Martin Ryser, Dr. Christian Renfer, Prof. Dr. Schulz-Brize, Prof. Dr. Marc Dujardin, Rong Yao, Anna Wozniak and Prof. Dr. Peter Herrle.
