ENRIC BATLLE I DURANY lectures at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) since 1982. He is coordinator and teacher of the UPC Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, and teacher at the Department of Urbanism and Territorial Planning at the Vallès School of Architecture (ETSAV-UPC), where he coordinates the school’s Architecture & Projects Workshop IV, landscape & environment themed. Over the years, he has been involved in numerous courses at the same university and at other institutions, such as the Barcelona School of Agriculture or the School of Architecture of Navarra University. He studied at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB-UPC), gaining his degree in architecture in 1980 and later in 2002, becoming Doctor of Architecture with the doctoral thesis “The Garden of the Metropolis. From Romantic Landscape to Open Space for a Sustainable City ”, from Polytechnic University of Catalonia's (UPC) Urbanism and Territorial Planning Department. He received the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize from the UPC's Doctorate Commission, and was also awarded the Lluís Domènech i Montaner Prize for Architecture Theory and Criticism for his thesis work. It has been published in 2012 by the same name, and being awarded the FAD Theory & Review 2012 Prize.

JOAN ROIG I DURÁN is an architect from the school of architecture of Barcelona and co-founder of Batlle i Roig Arquitectes since 1981. He has taught architectural design at the same school since 1984, as well as the Master of architecture of the landscape of the University Polytechnic of Catalonia and of the school of Agriculture of Barcelona. He has been visiting professor to, among others, l'Académie van Boukunst, Rotterdam; Delft University of Technology; ILAUD (International Laboratory of Architecture and Urban Design), Urbino; IUAV Istituto Universitario di Architettura de Venezia; Facoltà di Architettura, Génova; ITU, Faculty of Architecture of Istanbul; Washington University, St. Louis; University of Illinois, Chicago; l'École Superièure du Paysage de Versailles; al Ringyorcesung Technishe Universität, Munich; l'Universität Stuttgart, Alemania; and to the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Navarra, Pamplona. He has recently been director of the Barcelona Institute of Architecture (BIArch). Very remarkable is his work as jury, both in national and international competitions -Europan, Bienal de Arquitectura Española, Bienal Europea del Paisaje, Premios Saloni or Muestra de Arquitectura de Alicante- and as a consultant - he has been Vocal in culture of the Demarcation of Barcelona of the College of Architects of Catalonia, Consultant of the Mixed Commission of Gustavo Gili’s Editorial and member of the Committee of Architecture of the City of Barcelona. In the publishing field are noteworthy the book New Bridges, published by GG, and the numerous opinion articles published in specialized magazines, among which includes destacarían El Croquis, Arquitectura Viva, Topos, Quaderns, Domus etc.
