Winners of World Habitat Awards Announced

Far too often architecture awards draw attention to the minority of well-known architects around the world, and those focused on housing award an even smaller minority for those who can afford million-dollar houses. But the Building and Social Housing Foundation's (BSHF) World Habitat Awards select winners that "demonstrate significant impact within their own communities as well as the potential for the transfer of their practice to other contexts." For 2013, BSHF has selected two award winners:
