It seems that every month brings a headline about Zaha Hadid, be it her firm winning yet another competition or even one of her projects being plagiarized. This month brings three bits of news—an award, a new commission, and a new eponymous design gallery—worth reporting.

First, the Hadid-designed Riverside Museum: Scotland's Museum of Transport and Travel in Glasgow, Scotland, has been awarded the 2013 European Museum of the Year Award from the European Museum Forum. The EMF cited how the museum "demonstrates brilliantly how a specialist transport collection can renew its relevance through active engagement with wider social and universal issues." Obviously the award does not focus solely on architecture, but the jagged profile of the building and its presence on the banks of the River Clyde certainly didn't hurt.
