Is this a bird's eye view of Midtown Manhattan? Or a model of a planned city in China? No, it's actually a sculpture made entirely of scrap wood by James McNabb. The City Series "depicts the outsider's perspective of the urban landscape" and, through its creative use of waste, makes "something out of nothing." A close look reveals the myriad bandsaw cuts that help make each piece unique, just like the buildings they represent. The series also includes a sphere covered in the abstracted forms and a table that inverts the urban condition.
