It’s a car, it’s a bar, it’s Carambar!
In 1986, automobile designer and collector Jay Ohrberg created the world’s longest limousine. A symbol of excess, the car, named “American Dream,” extends over thirty meters long and has twenty-six wheels, two engines, a jacuzzi, a bedroom with a king-sized waterbed, a swimming pool with a diving board, and even a heliport. The Carambar was created as the Festival Images’ official bar. It is a wooden interpretation of Ohrberg’s extravagant vehicle, fitted with comfortable seats. The Carambar welcomed festival-goers to the Grande Place, one of Europe’s largest open squares and the town’s biggest parking lot.
