The short film by Walley Films reminds us of the numerous installations that have drawn our attention ever since Yasuaki Onishi's reverse of volume RG in 2012. These include Soo Sunny Park's Unwoven Light (2013), Anila Quayyum Agha's Intersections (2015), Atelier Bow-Wow and Jesús Vassallo's Learning from Houston (2015) and, most recently, Jonathan Schipper's Cubicle from last year.

Although we're sad that the Rice University Art Gallery will close its doors on May 14th, we're looking forward to seeing what Davenport will do in her new post as chief curator of the Moody Center for the Arts, which just opened at Rice in a new building by Michael Maltzan Architecture.
