Architect Bjarke Ingels was one of the speakers at WIRED by Design, a "live magazine" that took place from 29 September to 2 October at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, California. In his 20-minute talk he covered a handful of BIG's recent projects.
Ingels' talk is titled "Mission: Create Social Infrastructure for Resilient Cities," and he uses the five BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group's projects – Danish National Maritime Museum, LEGO House, Superkilen, Big U, and Amager Resource Center – as a way of illustrating his optimistic belief that "architecture has the power to make the world a little bit more like our dreams," be they visiting a museum of LEGOs or skiing on the roof of a power plant.
