The story at BuzzFeed News – "Trump’s Lawyer Said There Were 'No Plans' For Trump Tower Moscow. Here They Are." – isn't really concerned with the design of the tower, which it describes as "dazzling: a glass skyscraper that would stretch higher than any other building in Europe, offering ultra-luxury residences and hotel rooms and bearing a famous name." There isn't even mention of the architect, if known.

Instead, the story is more interested in the project's role in Robert Mueller's investigation into Donald Trump’s relationship with Russia before he was elected as president and allegations that Trump's lawyers lied about the development between Trump and a Russian real estate developer. According to Trump's current lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, there were no plans made for the tower, but the renderings BuzzFeed News got a hold of appear to reveal otherwise.

The tapered, glassy skyscraper planned for 150 hotel rooms and 250 luxury apartments is shown, of course, topped by a TRUMP sign, but also a penthouse apartment that BuzzFeed News reports would have been given for free to Russian president Vladimir Putin.

BuzzFeed's story comes one week after it reported that Trump told his then-lawyer Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about the tower's plans, a story Mueller's office described as "not accurate." So look at these renderings with some skepticism, at least until an architect comes forward to take credit for the design. But with the way things are going in the White House, with the government shutdown and the Russia investigation and the State of the Union address in limbo, would they come forward?
