This house extension and renovation aims to bring a slice of nature into the heart of Tufnell Park, whilst adding useful and cohesive spaces to this garden flat. The design connects a courtyard, living room and rear garden in order to create a seamless ‘green living space,’ which heightens the inhabitant’s sense of the outside and the subsequent light this affords to the interior. The timber structural system of this design is prefabricated off-site, allowing for a seamlessly quick construction solution. We further utilise this pre-fabricated system by introducing a playful geometry of internal timber paneling, defining the space and intensifying the views of the respective gardens.
