The Alario Center Renovation Project was a two part project performed in coordination with the Tobler Company (acting as the Owner’s representative) for the Louisiana Sports and Exhibition District (LSED) in accordance with Louisiana State Facility Planning and Control.
Part One of the project consisted of bathroom renovations, inclusive of full fixture replacements, lighting upgrades, and high performance coatings. In addition, all exterior and egress door hardware was upgraded and replaced. In order to maintain facility health, safety, and full operability, the renovations to bathroom facilities and hardware replacement were split into 3 construction phases.
Part Two, performed under a separate contract and contractor, was the application of a GAF 2-part roofing top coat. In conjunction with the Tobler Company, we determined this solution was the most cost effective and efficient method of extending the life of the existing low slope, built-up roofs, while maintaining facility operations.
Original AFC was estimated at $1 million dollars; however, in collaboration with the Owner’s representative, the project was achieved at a savings of approximately 25%.
