Project Renewal's mission, in their own words, "...is to end the cycle of homelessness by empowering men and women with mental illness, addiction or both to renew their lives with health, homes and jobs."

This energy efficient building, which exceeds LEED standards, wraps around the secure and private inner courtyard. Set below street level, the courtyard comes into view as you pass through the glass vestibulebright, green and open. Swirling freeform shapes lead back to a seating area against a warm red wall. The beds are full of tough, low-maintenance plants that can thrive without automatic irrigation and are tended to by the residents.
