Aufgabe

Erweiterung Realschule / Neubau Grundschule  Pulheim mit integrierter Turnhalle und Ganztag

In Zusammenarbeit mit
Simon & Fremerey Architekten BDA, Königswinter

To form the new Educational Campus in Pulheim, we enlarged an existing secondary school and added a primay school with gymnasium.
The existing secondary school of the 1960s has been enlarged by 5 regular classrooms, 3 natural science classrooms and an atrium. The new atrium gives the school an open, bright center and connects the expansion with the existing parts.
The gym and 10 classrooms of the primary school are grouped around the central hall with sloped shed roofs. This entrance hall can also be be used for school events.
We used the same materials, red brick and red roof, dark windows and galvanized metal walkways as escape routes for both schools.

In cooperation with Simon & Fremerey Architekten BDA, Königswinter.
