Carolyn is a co-founder and partner at SUPERIMPOSE. Carolyn is a registered architect at ARB (UK) and SBA (NL) and received her MSc (Distinction) at the University of Technology Delft in The Netherlands. Carolyn grew up in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and The Netherlands. Her multicultural upbringing inculcated in her appreciation for architecture of varying cultures and places.
Carolyn worked at award winning practices including Benoy Beijing (Senior Architect 2013-2016), URBANUS Beijing, Foster + Partners London (2009-2012) and Glenn Howells Architects UK (2006-2007). She has been involved in master planning, civic and mixed used projects including the Amazon HQ London, Ministry of Defense France Competition and Shenzhen CR LAND. Being in China since 2012, she diversifies her focus on client liaison, project facilitations and management. Carolyn integrates her sensitive and sensory design thinking into the designs of SUPERIMPOSE.
Ben de Lange
co-founder & partner
Ben is a co-founder and partner at SUPERIMPOSE. Ben obtained his MSc (Distinction) at the University of Technology Delft in The Netherlands. Ben is a registered architect at SBA (NL). In his early career in The Netherlands, Ben has established a grounded foundation in both the conceptual and practical side of architecture. In 2012, he moved to Beijing and developed a strong portfolio of built projects.
Ben worked at award winning practices including Spark Architects (Project Architect 2011-2016), Mei Architects and 24H Architects and has well over twenty-five completed projects in Europe and China. Ben has been majorly involved in old building renovations, high-end residential developments, commercial and mixed-use development projects such as Vanke Daxing and Jiugong. He has worked closely with major Chinese governmental institutions and most renowned Chinese developers. Ben brings conceptual boldness to the drawing table and executes designs with his technical knowledge.

Ruben_Bergambagt: Ruben is a co-founder and partner at SUPERIMPOSE. He has a strong academic achievement including receiving Cum Laude in MSc and nominated as best architecture graduate (2009) at the University of Technology Delft in The Netherlands. He also pursued his study further at Tokyo Institute of Technology with the Young Scientist Research Program. Ruben is a registered architect at ARB (UK) and SBA (NL).
Ruben worked at award winning practices including waa (Partner 2012-2015), Foster + Partners London (2009-2012), Rogers Stirk + Harbour Tokyo (2008) and 24H Architecture Rotterdam (2005-2008). Ruben was highly involved in the 2018 Stirling prize winning Bloomberg HQ London by foster + Partners and the completed Yinchuan Museum of Contemporary Art project. Ruben’s design perspective is inspired from his travels around the world. He is a critical thinker, strongly believes in the power of form and has a vision towards a sustainable built environment.
