Moritz Auer has been a Managing Partner at Auer Weber since 2006. He joined the Munich office in 1998 and became an associate in 2001.

Moritz Auer first studied communication design at the Folkwangschule Essen, and then architecture at the TU Berlin, graduating in 1996. Between 2017 and 2022 he taught at the Münster School of Architecture MSA and Biberach University of Applied Sciences.

Moritz Auer is a member of the design advisory boards of the town of Freising and Munich Airport.

Philipp Auer has been a Managing Partner at Auer Weber since 2009. He joined the Munich office in 1997 and became an associate in 2001.

Philipp Auer studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and at the TH Darmstadt until 1995. He then worked for David Chipperfield Architects in London. Between 2017 and 2022, he held teaching positions at the Münster School of Architecture MSA and the Technical University of Munich.

In 1980, Fritz Auer founded the architectural firm Auer Weber together with Carlo Weber, after they had previously been partners in the office of Behnisch & Partner, which had been founded in 1966. Fritz Auer studied at the TH Stuttgart and at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA, graduating in Stuttgart in 1962.

From 1985 to 1992 Fritz Auer was Professor of Building Construction and Design at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, and from 1993 to 2001 Professor of Design at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art Design. He has been a member of the Academy since 1993. In 2023, the Association of German Architects (BDA) awarded him honorary membership.

Sascha Dehnst

Sascha Dehnst has worked for Auer Weber in Munich since 2004 and has been an associate since 2023. Over the years, he has supervised numerous projects, including educational buildings, office buildings and cultural buildings. In 2022, he deepened his expertise in the field of monument preservation and building refurbishment with postgraduate studies to become a specialist engineer for monument preservation at the Bauhaus Academy Weimar. Prior to joining Auer Weber, he worked for various architectural firms in Dessau, Vienna and Munich. He studied at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau until 1996.

Dominik Fahr

Dominik Fahr has been part of the Auer Weber team in Munich since 2002 and has been an associate since 2023. In the Munich office, he focuses on modernisation, expansion and conversion in a variety of construction projects, including administrative buildings, cultural buildings, schools and infrastructure projects. Until 2002, he studied architecture at ETH Zurich, the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago and the University of Stuttgart.

Toni Felber

Toni Felber has been part of the Auer Weber team in Stuttgart since 2014 and has since managed numerous projects from design to completion. He is responsible for the areas of finance and accounting across all projects. Prior to joining Auer Weber, he founded the interdisciplinary studio Superquadra. He studied architecture at the Rhein-Main University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden until 2011 and was a scholarship holder of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.

Adrian Gessner

In addition to project work, Adrian Gessner's expertise lies in the areas of climate-friendly, energy-efficient and sustainable construction. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt and also at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Subsequently, he specialised in the field of ClimaDesign at the Technical University of Munich until 2015. He has been part of the Auer Weber team in Munich since 2017 and an associate since 2023. Previously, he worked for various architectural firms in Sydney and Hamburg.

Birgit Gierloff

Birgit Gierloff has been part of the Auer Weber team in Stuttgart since 2014 and has been an associate of the office since 2023. In particular, she has acquired extensive planning expertise in expansion planning. She studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart, graduating in 2014. In 2012, she was awarded a scholarship to study at Tongji University in Shanghai, and while a student worked at Foster + Partners in London, Thoma Lay Buchler Architects and Wolfgang Roth Architects in Stuttgart, as well as in the planning office Werner Sobek.

Markus Hennig

Markus Hennig's main focus at Auer Weber is on construction projects and competitions in France. He has worked at the Munich office since 2008 and has been an associate since 2023. Subsequently, he studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and gained experience in various architectural offices in Berlin, Munich and Vienna, including Coop Himmelb(l)au.

Martin Klemp

Martin Klemp has been a partner at Auer Weber since 2023, an associate since 2003, and since 2000 has worked in the Munich office. In his role as general planner, he is also primarily responsible for large infrastructure projects.

After training as a carpenter, he studied architecture and urban planning at the University of Stuttgart and the IIT in Chicago. He graduated in Stuttgart in 1996, and first worked at Schürmann + Schürmann in Stuttgart.

Sun Jong Kwon

Sun Jong Kwon has supported Auer Weber's Stuttgart team since 2010 and has been an associate in the office since 2023. He has worked on numerous competitions. Currently, his main focus is on project management and implementation planning. After studying architecture at the University of Seoul in South Korea, he completed a second degree in architecture at the University of Stuttgart, graduating in 2009. During his studies in Stuttgart, he worked for Auer Weber.

Tobias Laipple

Tobias Laipple focuses on competitions and project management and has worked for Auer Weber in Stuttgart since 2010. He has been an associate since 2023. Previously, he worked for several years in the UK, including at Maccreanor Lavington Architects in London and Elder & Cannon Architects in Glasgow. He studied architecture at the TU Darmstadt and the École Polytechnique Féderale de Lausanne until 2005.

Andreas Lehr has been a project manager focusing on construction projects in the education sector since 2015 and an associate since 2023. While a student, he received two honourable mentions at the Stuttgart Lightweight Design Award and worked as a research assistant at ITKE – Institute of Building Structures and Structural Design.

In 2020 she was taken on by the Stuttgart office, where her focus is on implementation planning and the completion of construction projects. She studied at the University of Technology in Sydney on a scholarship and graduated from the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences in 2020.

Stefan Niese has been a partner of Auer Weber since 2023, an associate since 2002 and has worked in the Munich office since 1997. He studied at the TU Kaiserslautern until 1997 and was a member of the Wolf D. Prix master class at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.

Since 2013, he has been a professor of sculptural design at Würzburg-Schweinfurt Technical University and continues to work as a consultant for the office.

Julia Schmid has been team leader for the competition department at Auer Weber's Munich office since 2018. After a short spell working for Dietrich | Untertrifaller Architekten, since 2023 she has been an associate at the office. Since joining Auer Weber in 2012, she has overseen various projects, mainly in the early performance phases. In addition to her work as an architect she also works as a lecturer, and from 2021 to 2023 taught at Biberach University of Applied Sciences and Nuremberg University of Technology. Jörn Scholz has been a Managing Partner at Auer Weber since 2006. He joined the Stuttgart office in 1996 and became an associate in 2002.

From 1998 to 2008, he lectured at the Institute for Housing and Design and the Institute for Public Buildings and Design at the University of Stuttgart in building theory and design.

Thomas Schonder has worked for Auer Weber in Munich since 2005 and has overseen various construction projects as a project manager, partly in a general planning function. He completed his studies in architecture at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich in 2001.

Achim Söding has been a Managing Partner at Auer Weber since 2006. He has worked at the office in Stuttgart since 1989 and became an associate in 2001.

He studied architecture at the University of Hanover and at the Vienna University of Technology until 1989, where he worked in the studio of Prof. Anton Schweighofer. From 2001-2003 he taught at the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. Achim Söding is a member of the board of directors of the Architekturforum Baden-Württemberg and a deputy member of the urban planning committee in Stuttgart.

Stephan Suxdorf has been Managing Partner at Auer Weber since 2006. He joined the Munich office in 1997 and became an associate in 2001. Previously, he worked at Steidle & Partner in Munich and Berlin as well as at Bauer Kurz Stockburger in Munich.

Stephan Suxdorf first studied design and process engineering at the Constance University of Applied Sciences, graduating in 1992. In 1994 he lectured in design at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam.

Christof Teige has been a partner at Auer Weber since 2023. He became an associate in 2001 and has been with Auer Weber in Stuttgart since 1992. During this long-standing cooperation, many administrative and other types of buildings have resulted from numerous competition successes.

He studied architecture at the University of Kaiserslautern and at the TH Darmstadt until 1992. He then worked for Joachim Schürmann in Cologne. From 2008 to 2017 he was a lecturer at the Institute for Living and Design at the University of Stuttgart.

Together with Fritz Auer, Carlo Weber founded the architectural firm Auer Weber in 1980. Previously, they had been partners in the office of Behnisch und Partner, which was founded in 1966. Carlo Weber studied at the TH Stuttgart and at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris and graduated in Stuttgart in 1961.

From 1980 to 1990 Carlo Weber was a lecturer at the University of Stuttgart and between 1992 and 1999 Professor of Building Theory and Design at the TU Dresden. From 1996 he was a member of the Saxon Academy of the Arts.

Carlo Weber passed away in May 2014.

Mohan Zeng
