Ricardo Bak Gordon founded his eponymous studio in 2002. In the "Past" clip he speaks about attending the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto, which, though not his first choice, shaped his early architecture years by forcing him to leave home and exposing him to influential architects and professors. Bak Gordon's approach to practice is based on teamwork and, as he explains in the "Present" clip, striving to find and create meaning in a particular place. His view of the "Future" is not one of architects solving problems through novel inventions; rather architects will help in accommodating more people in cities and creating the public spaces where people will come together.
