Design Philosophy
KUU is a Shanghai-based practice run by architects from various cultural and professional backgrounds, Satoko Saeki (Japan), Kok-Meng Tan (Singapore) and Ann Mu (Shanghai/New Zealand). Its practice traverses different scales including interior design, architecture, landscape design and urban planning. KUU has also undertaken commissioned studies on spatial branding, specific urban phenomena and the culture of places. It is associated with KUU Bangkok established by former partner TEK Boonsanga Tiow (Thailand).
We try to make novel things according to the living and working contexts that we make them in, in a way that is possible in that context, and in a manner that is natural to us.
