Community Centre Leue

A new centre was created in the heart of Männedorf, including a parish centre with community hall, a commercial building and a shopping centre.
The goal of the project was to erect an ensemble that fitted with the structure of the village and reacted to the slope and the proximity of the lake. Borrowing from the structure of the individual houses, a new typology was developed as part of a cluster complex, allowing for the compacting and creation of spaces, and a fragmented urban zone.
The core of the complex is Leue Platz. It is surrounded by the parish hall, community centre and shopping centre. This diverse complex forms a backdrop for public life, with the buildings connected by a network of paths.
