Jamaica Station Redevelopment

2007 saw the completion of work on the new $349 million, 10-year rehabilitation of the Jamaica Station Complex as the Terminal facility of the new JFK Airport Light Rail System. As part of a team including STV, DGA’s scope of work included the design of architectural lighting solutions for the new Portal Bridge Structure, LIRR Platforms, Westerly Bridge, Street level Concourse, new VCB Atrium Transit Mezzanine and Sutphin Blvd overpass. This NYS EO111-compliant redevelopment serves to transform Jamaica Station into the single most important transportation hub in Queens serving New York City Transit, the Long Island Rail Road and the new JFK Light Rail System.
