Funkia was set up in 2005 by Emma Norrman. Plans to run a company that she would like to work for herself had been in place ever since her time studying. Together with her sister, Frida Wilkne, the company started to take shape.

There has always been a very high level of ambition and the aim was to work with the entire process from ideas created on the drawing board to involvement in the construction process, planting and finally taking care of the maintenance. The business was further strengthened in 2010 with the arrival of the third partner, Jimmy Norrman.

Today Funkia is a successful, personal, landscape architect's office with the ambition to lead the way in Sweden.
