Born 1964 in Caravaggio, he studies architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, ETH Zurich, and specializes in Theory of Architecture at the Université Paris-Villemin. In 1995 he opens his architecture atelier in Rome, and from 2004 in Zurich. Between 1998 and 2004 he teaching assistant at the ETH Zurich. In 2006 he is Visiting Professor at the Cornell University. Since 2006 he is teaching Theory of architecture at the University of Lucerne, and since 2007 he is professor for architecture design at the Architecture Faculty of the Università di Ferrara. He lives in Zurich.
