Miguel Saraiva

Born on November 15th, 1968 in Lisbon.
Enrolled at the University of Lusíada in 1988 and completed his degree in Architecture in 1995.
In 1996 he became a founding partner of “Miguel Rocha & Saraiva – Arquitectura e Urbanismo, Lda”.
He was on the organizing committee of the1st Congress of the Portuguese Architects’ Association, representing of the Southern Region Section of Architects’ Association.
Between 1999 and 2001 he was vice-president of the Southern Region Section of Portuguese Architects’ Association.
Since January 2006, after the departure of one of the studio’s founders, he began a new cycle in the company’s internal structure and became Chairman and Managing Director of “Miguel Saraiva & Associados – Arquitectura e Urbanismo, S.A”.
Nowadays, as a consequence of his studio’s expansion into new markets, Miguel Saraiva is developing large-scale architectural and urban projects in Angola, Algeria, Brazil, Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Morocco, Mozambique and Russia.
