Mr. Yan Meng is a founding partner of Urbanus. He is an architect licensed in New York State.

Mr. Meng received his Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees from Tsinghua University, and Master of Architecture from Miami University.

Prior to co-founding Urbanus, Mr. Meng was a project architect and project designer at some world leading design firms with extensive experience in design, documentation, management and construction administration. He worked with Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC and Meltzer/Mandl Architects in New York City, and had been involved in some major constructions in New York and Philadelphia, as well as overseas projects in China and Taiwan.

In 1999, Mr. Meng co-founded Urbanus architecture & Design Inc with his partners Xiaodu Liu and Hui Wang, and started to manage projects in China. The firm is now based in Beijing and Shenzhen, and is recognized as one of the leading forces among China's young design firms. Architectural Record featured it as one of the ten global "Design Vanguards" in December 2005.
