Sparkassenakademie Stuttgart

In 2014 the Sparkassenakademie Stuttgart opened after two and a half years of construction. The € 85 million building complex comprises 20 conference rooms, 148 rooms, two restaurants and a large conference hall for up to 600 guests. The academy serves as a training center of the Sparkassen Finance Group in the Baden-Württemberg. Lindner has worked closely with architects wma wöhr mieslinger for the successful execution of the interior fit-out package.

Lindner floor systems are mainly used in the seminar rooms, the cafeteria and the entrance area. For the large conference hall, Sparkassenakademie opted for the very economical CAVOPEX screed hollow floor with stainless steel enclosure. NORTEC raised floors and FLOOR and more® hollow floors, both featuring environmentally friendly calcium sulphate panels, came to use especially for carrying out demanding structures and channel ducts.

Among these is the tiered seating area in the entrance hall which was erected using the standardised FLOOR and more® arena system.

Lindner took care of a variety of drywall work, partitions and doors in all sectors of the building complex – from the entrance area to the daycare center.

Special features of the project are art installations. One of the most striking examples is a so-called Binary Clock in the foyer, which was created on the surface of a plasterboard wall.

Upon entering the seminar rooms you have an encounter with other Lindner products: Lindner wooden doors with adjacent top and side panel coloured in the corporate red tone of the Sparkasse, incorporated into Lindner Life 125 glass partition walls. According to the client's request, the doors have been specially coated around the edges of the door panel.

Also worth a look is the integrated short-time daycare, which allows participants to have their children looked after during their seminars. The daycare is designed very pleasantly and provides a child-friendly contrast to the functional conference area: there are no straight walls, all rooms radiate brightly in different colors and large windows connect the indoor to the outdoor playground.
