Japan Architecture, Art & Culture Tour

A Japanese Cultural Experience of Architecture, Art & Food in Tokyo, Kyoto & more

A truly unique architectural and cultural experience spending 6 nights in Tokyo and 4 nights in Kyoto. This is not just the typical sight seeing tour, but a definitive display of Japanese architectural expression and culture visiting fascinating traditional and contemporary buildings in Tokyo, famous temples in Kyoto, several Frank Lloyd Wright buildings, wonderful Japanese gardens and some great art and architecture exhibitions.

Enjoy some great examples of Japanese contemporary architectural such as Church of Light (Tadao Ando), Prada Boutique (Herzog and de Meuron), Mikimoto 2 (Toyo Ito), Dior Boutique (SANAA), See some buildings by the greats of 20th Century architecture such as National Museum of Western Art (Le Corbusier), Jiyu Gakuen School (Frank Lloyd Wright) & Tokyo Olympic Gymnasium (Kenzo Tange). There will be visits to historic Japanese buildings, fantastic Japanese food, maybe a Japanese wedding or festival and the chance to explore the hidden areas of the Tokyo metropolis that you will not find on any regular tour.

This 10 day Japan Architecture Tour is conducted by Architect, former Tokyo resident, Licensed Travel Agent and Japan expert, Robert Day. For more information contact [email protected]
