OHNY Other Islands Boat Tour

Join openhousenewyork and sail up the East River on the Zephyr with journalists Sharon Seitz and Stuart Miller, co-authors of The Other Islands of New York City: A History and Guide. Did you know there and there are 42 islands within the boundaries of the city? This tour will highlight the many "other islands" of New York City from the forgotten islands, like Mill Rock, to the infamous, like Rikers, from Roosevelt, an island with a flourishing community, to North Brother, an island that is now populated only by birds.

Children are welcome. Snacks, beverages and alcohol will be available for purchase on the boat. The tour will take place rain or shine.
